Position Summary:
Responsible for establishing best practice methods and equipment for packaging lines to ensure maximum production efficiency.

Essential Job Functions:
Good communication skills, both verbal and written; Good organizational and time management skills; Good computer skills, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Excel and CAD; Be willing to participate in continuing education.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Specify processes and or equipment for packaging operations; Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods; Manage projects involving the improvement of existing equipment and the procurement of equipment; Prepare cost justification for equipment up-grades and procurement; Coordinate project activities with functional groups such as quality and production; Participate on cross-functional teams to drive improvements in operational efficiencies; Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in a high speed environment; Experience in a variety of packaging formats and processes. Examples are: cartons, case packing, packets, sticks, canisters, blending, shrink wrap, liquid and/or dry products; College degree is preferred; Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as they pertain to the food industry.
